10 Great Dates

A Program to Energize Your Marriage

10 Great Dates

Our parish is pleased to invite married couples of all ages to participate in 10 Great Dates, a program to energize your marriage. It is an opportunity for couples to have time out to build their marriage and to enrich their relationship. The program was created by Claudia Arp and David Arp, MSW, founders of Marriage Alive®, educators, awardwinning authors, popular speakers, frequent contributors to print and broadcast media. They have appeared on NBC Today, CBS This Morning and PBS. There is a participant's book (one per couple) which contains a short reading assignment introducing the dating theme for each date.

The participating couples will meet once a month (except in December) at the Parish Life Center for a short date launch video segment (approximately thirty minutes) where the theme (skill) for that particular date is introduced. Then each couple goes on their great date to have fun and share with each other. The 10 Great Dates are scheduled at 7:00 PM for the following Saturday nights: September 20, October 18, and November 15, 2008 and January 17, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, and July 18, 2009 in Room 217 in the Parish Life Center. The cost of the program is $15.00 per couple to cover the cost of the participant's book. (There are scholarships available for the purchase of the participant's book.)
